Welcome to Creative Canine Designs!

We believe animals are family, and they deserve products that are comfortable, well made, practical, and fun without costing a fortune.

Our love of animals has always been a big part of our lives together. We met in 1983, married in 1984, and while raising our two boys, we started a nonprofit dog rescue. Over the years, we have fostered and helped find homes for more than 200 dogs, puppies, and the occasional kitty. Our own family has included animals of all shapes and sizes, from tiny Chihuahuas to giant Great Danes.

Creative Canine Designs began in 2010 when we became frustrated trying to find unique, high-quality products for our own pets. So, we started making them ourselves. What began with handmade collars and leashes has grown into a much bigger adventure, including custom designs, cat products, pet gear, gifts for animal lovers, and more.

Our experience in rescue has also shaped the way we look at the products we make. We understand that pet gear needs to do more than look good. It needs to work well in real life, whether it is being used by a family pet, a shelter volunteer, or someone handling a dog they have never met before.

One of our biggest dreams for the future is to create a sanctuary for burros in need. After having the opportunity to see these remarkable animals in the wild, we fell in love with their personalities, curiosity, and spirit. Sadly, many burros removed from the wild through population management programs are left waiting for permanent homes.

Someday, we hope to have a piece of property where a few of them can find a safe and permanent home with us.

At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: every animal deserves kindness, respect, love, and the chance to live a good life.
